It’s a wrap! On the summer season, that is.

Our building was full of campers this summer – from our Explore! Music camps for younger children to our House of Rock teen camps – there was no shortage of energy and wonderful music flowing throughout the building. The shift to daytime activation is always a fun one, and the campers had a blast learning how to play music!

The Music School also saw great success this summer, with students of all ages joining their favorite teachers and friends to build community and play music. While it can be “slower” in the summer months, the building was packed in the evenings with joyful sounds and camaraderie.

The summer season also finds us offsite for many concerts. Four Mile Historic Park shows were a big hit this year, and we’ve brought back tribute bands for all! Evenings al Fresco at Denver Botanic Gardens was a very popular evening once again this summer, and we’re excited to do more in 2027. The Summer Concert Series at the Gardens was also a great success – lots of new folks in the lineup, and some familiar names as well. We’re excited to continue our partnership with the Gardens in the coming years, and bring music to the people in a beautiful and intimate setting.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the admin team has been hard at work continuing to stabilize the business, and see where new opportunities can bring us. We’re already planning for 2027 (and beyond) and it’s an exciting time, as always, at Swallow Hill.

We were thrilled to bring on four new board members this summer as well. Want to know more about our Board? Click here to see the fabulous people that support this organization in many ways – introducing new folks to this amazing organization, helping us set strategy for the years to come, supporting the ongoing work at Swallow Hill. And, they are all wonderful human beings. We’re taking a pause on adding new board members for a bit, as we have a full team for the first time since 2020.

To all of you fine folks out there – THANK YOU for your generosity, your time, your feedback, and your participation in Swallow Hill programs. The joy and love found in our classes and concerts, our outreach classrooms, and venues across the Denver Metro Region is incalculable. And it’s because you choose to spend your time, treasure, and talent with us.

Enjoy the cooler weather coming our way, and I hope to see you at a show, in the building, or about town. Take good care!

Let’s keep building community together,

Jessy Clark
PS Before you know it we’ll be talking about the end of this year, but before we do, we invite you to read our 2025 Annual Report. Each year’s success is built off the hard work of the previous year, to understand where we’re going, we need to know where we’ve been!
