Swallow Hill Music is excited to announce An Evening with Lucinda Williams and Her Band: A Benefit Concert for Swallow Hill Music. The concert takes place at the music nonprofit’s Denver-based headquarters on Friday, October 30th at 7 p.m.

This concert follows last year’s highly successful, sold out benefit concert with Iron & Wine. Limited to just 265 guests in the venue’s Daniels Hall, audience members will experience an intimate and emotional performance from Lucinda Williams, the likes of which few people get to experience anywhere.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit Swallow Hill’s music programming – from bringing music education to under-resourced schools, to cultivating the next generation of Colorado’s artists.

Tickets for the concert, which is supported by Southwest Airlines, are on sale now.

“Last fall we welcomed Iron & Wine to Daniels Hall and it was a completely magical experience for everyone, from the audience, who got to see an incredible musician up close and personal, to our staff, as well as the artist,” Swallow Hill CEO Jessy Clark said. “We are thrilled to welcome Lucinda Williams to our stage!”

Williams is beloved for her singular vocals and extraordinary songs. With a back catalog of remarkable albums, including 1998’s game-changing Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, she’s the recipient of three Grammy awards, and countless accolades, including being named America’s Best Songwriter by Time Magazine in 2001.

This spring, The New York Times named her to their heralded list of The 30 Greatest Living American Songwriters. In assessing her legendary career, the paper wrote “Williams evolved into the kind of synthesizing stylist and major storyteller whose genre becomes herself. She is a musician’s songwriter and a critic’s ideal: wry, deceptively complex, confident, confident-sounding.”

Swallow Hill’s mission is to build community through music performance, education, and outreach. In 2025 the nonprofit produced more than 200 live music events, both on and offsite, including the Denver Botanic Gardens Summer Concert Series and the Indiewood Street Festival in Englewood. Its music school taught 660 group music classes, totalling more than 36,000 student hours. Its flagship community outreach program, Little Swallows, meanwhile, partnered with 34 Denver-area schools to create 83,775 musical connections with preschool-aged children.

Sponsorship packages are available for the benefit concert. Please contact Development Director Cecile Kerr for more information. Tickets for the general public are on sale now.
