Beloved folk-soul duo MaMuse - that’s “Ma” like Mamma, “Muse” like the one who inspires - are bringing their full band to CITY as part of their This is the Venue album release tour this Summer and Fall to share harmonic, uplifting, luscious, folk-soul.
Wholeheartedly fed by the folk and gospel traditions, MaMuse creates uplifting music to inspire the world into thriving. Expect a blend of unreleased tracks from their upcoming album, treasured favorites, and even a bit of audience-inspired improv magic.
With upright bass, guitar, mandolin, flutes, and keys in the mix, MaMuse’s sound is as rich and varied as the emotions it evokes.
“Weaving extraordinary voices with surprising syncopation, MaMuse’s soulful folk commitment is evident with every note.”
”Vocal bliss” — Dan DeWayne, California WorldFest
With seventeen delicious years of co-creation and five full length albums under their belts, MaMuse keep their hearts tuned to the creation of music for the health of ALL BEINGS.
The evening will kick off with the beautiful songs of LVDY.
Come one, come all, and invite your friends to weave a tapestry of joy and connection together through song.
LVDY [pronounced LADY] is the Colorado-based duo of Kathleen Hooper and Aubrey Mable, creating music that moves, uplifts, and connects. With roots in singer-songwriter, indie-folk and a sound shaped by soaring harmonies and organic instrumentation, LVDY crafts songs that feel like home. In unison it is almost unrecognizable who’s who, and in harmony, an effortless blend that welcomes the exhale. Their uplifting sound and intimate storytelling weave love anthems in and out of their messages, with simple yet important reminders that we’re not alone.
Their ethereal harmonies, musical warmth, and meaningful lyrics find inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors as they draw influence from artists like Maggie Rogers, Rising Appalachia, Brandi Carlile, JOSEPH and Trevor Hall. Though their roots lie in the singer-songwriter realm, their music is intentionally genre-fluid, allowing them to adapt their sound to a wide range of audiences, settings, and collaborations.
Formed in 2018, LVDY has played hundreds of shows across the U.S. & Europe—self-funded, self-built, and community-powered. What started as sidewalk busking has evolved into a loyal grassroots community—the LVDYMOB—and an intimate, high-connection live experience. They have shared stages with the likes of Rising Appalachia, Trevor Hall, KT Tunstall, Emily King, Dirtwire, Daniel Rodriguez, JOSEPH, Joy Oladokun, Ayla Nereo, LÉON, Emily Scott Robinson, and Brendan James.
Their debut album, Gold, came to life in 2020 through a successful Kickstarter campaign, followed by The Woods in 2022. In February 2024, they released Feathers, a dynamic EP produced by award-winning artist Dan Rodriguez, marking a new chapter in their evolution. On the heels of a momentous 2025, 2026 holds the release of their most mature sound yet, weaving medicinal mantras and indie-folk pop songs into your everyday life.
Beyond the stage, Aubrey & Kathleen adore creating experiences outside that bridge the gap between nature and music. From intimate backcountry yoga retreats tucked deep in the mountains to soul-nourishing live music river trips, these gatherings are designed to slow people down and reconnect them to themselves, to each other, and to the natural world. Whether floating down a winding river or grounding into stillness in the wilderness, their intention is to create spaces where music isn’t just heard—it’s felt, shared, and lived.
Through it all, LVDY remains driven by the belief that music is medicine and community is everything.
