| Concerts return to Swallow Hill Music this fall with a full calendar of roots-based acoustic and electric music by national and international touring artists, as well as Colorado and Denver-based musicians. Highlighting our concerts at our Denver headquarters at Broadway and Yale is Elephant Revival: A Benefit Concert for Swallow Hill on Saturday, September 19 at 7 p.m. The beloved acoustic-based Colorado band is known for selling out much larger Colorado venues like Mission Ballroom. Only 265 tickets will be available for their Swallow Hill benefit concert, creating a rare opportunity for superfans to experience one of their favorite bands in an intimate setting. The concert marks the band’s first concert at Swallow Hill since 2012. We were proud to present them back in the day as they established themselves as a national concert draw, and are thrilled to welcome them back! This is one of two benefit concerts we are presenting this fall, the other being An Evening with Lucinda Williams and Her Band on Friday, October 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets for that concert are nearly sold out. Both benefit concerts are supported by Southwest Airlines. The season kicks off on Sunday, August 30 with a special matinee concert celebrating the 90th birthday of our founder and Colorado Music Hall of Fame inductee Harry Tuft. The concert also celebrates the release of Harry’s latest CD, Friends, Lovers, & Other Strangers, and will feature guest appearances from Denver folk luminaries, with names to be revealed soon. In our 300-seat Daniels Hall we are excited to welcome back familiar names like electric blues maestro Coco Montoya and songwriting sage Chris Smither. We are equally excited to welcome newcomers like jazz-pop phenom Emma Nissen, and Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, whose namesake is lauded for breaking boundaries on steel pans, also known as the steel drum. When you step into our 100-seat Tuft Theatre, you’ll witness something unique in one of the nation’s great listening rooms. See rising Colorado artists like Antonio Lopez with The Dollhouse Thieves, keepers of the folk flame like Pierre Bensusan, or national touring acts like Peter Case. Ticket sales from these concerts and events help support Swallow Hill’s continuing mission of expanding access to the arts. Swallow Hill is proud to be an active participant in Denver’s vibrant and essential live music community. In a recent article about the impact local independent music venues have on the Denver metro area’s economy, Westword wrote, “In 2024, independent Denver venues drove $898 million in state revenue, as well as $1.5 billion in economic output, $44.6 million in tax revenue and $192.7 million in off-site tourism spending from 3.6 million fans, according to a new report from the National Independent Venue Association.” |
