Molly is a professional singer who has performed widely in the Denver metro area for the past 15 years. She has sung with bands ranging in style from punk to jazz to metal to opera to bluegrass. She has sung with varied organizations such as Fort Collins Opera, Impact Dance Company, Five Points Jazz Fest, Opera on Tap and Titwrench Festival Denver. She once owned a record store, winning a Westword Best of Denver. Molly loves writing music, playing with synthesizers, camping, gardening, singing and teaching singing.
As a teacher, Molly believes that anyone can sing, it’s just a matter of finding your unique voice. She will cater the lesson to suit your needs and help you achieve your personal goals. She teaches strong vocal technique so that you can manage and control your voice. Once you have a solid foundation to work from you will feel empowered to use your voice with the songs you love to sing. Molly is an especially supportive and encouraging teacher who works with students of all ages and levels. She is happy to help students with all vocal styles including pop, jazz, rock, music theater, folk, country and classical. As an experienced performer and multi-instrumentalist she is well equipped to work with songwriters and professional musicians. Molly is also a great teacher for kids, beginners and unconventional artists.
She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She is currently working on her Master’s in Vocal Pedagogy through Rider University. She has completed all levels of the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University. She performs music as a solo artist under the name Molly Growler and with the jazz fusion band Rope Trick Effect.
