Open Jam Sessions
Let’s jam! The Julie Davis School of Music at Swallow Hill offers donation-based weekly open jam sessions in Denver, as well as monthly genre-specific jams from bluegrass to jazz and much more.
To keep our jam sessions going, we ask that attendees contribute a suggested minimum donation of $10 to directly support our teachers and music school.
Donate online below or in-person at the jam.
Explore Our Open Jam Sessions
Open jam sessions at Swallow Hill have been a tradition dating back to our beginnings as part of the Denver Folklore Center in the 1960s.
Jams are led by our expert instructors and community members. Weekly jams are held in our Quinlan Cafe downstairs, and monthly jams are held in various rooms throughout our building on Broadway and Yale.
All levels and instruments are welcome!
Jams are not offered when our building is closed for various holidays and are subject to other cancellations. Please check individual jams below for date/time changes and sign up for our newsletter to stay updated.
