Jorma Kaukonen and Dar Williams are beloved by the Swallow Hill community for their ability to speak directly to their fans through music. This month those fans have the unique opportunity to learn more from them in special online guest workshops!
In his workshop, Jorma will dissect one of his tunes, and one from Reverend Gary Davis, exploring what the Rev taught him as a songwriter. Jorma Kaukonen’s Fingerstyle Guitar Online Workshop takes place on Wednesday, September 23 at 4:30 pm MT. Get complete details and register here.
Of her workshop, Writing A Song That Matters, Dar Williams says it’s “for anyone who wants to write a song that counts: for ourselves, for the people (or pets) we love and for the world.” The workshop will cover everything from why we write songs in the first place to finishing touches. The only prerequisite is to have completed one whole song at some point in your life. Writing a Song That Matters with Dar Williams takes place Saturday, September 26 at 11 am MT.
