The Denver Moth – StorySLAM

PRIDE: Prepare a five-minute story about embracing your identity. Coming out and inspiring others to do the same. Found family, fluidity, looking beyond the binary. Naysayers, fighting the good fight for yourself and for others, marches, protests, parades, trying on labels, all the colors on the spectrum. 10s across the board!

The Moth StorySLAMs are steadily spreading all over the map, gathering people and stories from all over the country. The Moth is open to anyone with a five-minute story to share on the night’s posted theme. The brave of heart, or those with stories they’re aching to tell, prepare personal, true tales. When the doors open, storyteller hopefuls put their names in The Moth Hat. A half hour later, names are picked, and one by one, storytellers take the stage. Each person has just five minutes! The ten featured stories are scored by teams of judges selected from the audience. Each StorySLAM generates a StorySLAM winner. After ten SLAMs, the winners face off in our GrandSLAM Championships. The Moth StorySLAM at Swallow Hill Music has a unique ticket sales process. For non-Moth members, general admission tickets are made available through Swallow Hill Music’s ticketing platform, Eventbrite, the Friday before the monthly Moth StorySlam at 1:00pm MST. These tickets typically sell out the day they go on-sale. Once these sell-out, the only other opportunity to purchase tickets is at 6:00pm the night of The Moth StorySLAM on the same Eventbrite page. A very limited number of additional tickets go on-sale at this time. Once these tickets are sold-out, they are gone.

Swallow Hill Music cannot guarantee access nor tickets to The Moth StorySLAM, and with its popularity, it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance. Swallow Hill does not facilitate a ticket waitlist nor ticket resales for The Moth StorySLAM.
