The Denver Moth – StorySLAM

THEME: LOVE HURTS. All sales final. 

Prepare a five-minute tale about a love that made you go OUCH. The agony of deferred love! The misery of good love, gone bad! The anguish of one-way love! Bring stories of your heart, kicked to the curb by the people or places or things you love…or used to love. Love that “Hurts So Good” also welcome.

The Moth StorySLAMs are steadily spreading all over the map, gathering people and stories from all over the country. The Moth is open to anyone with a five-minute story to share on the night’s posted theme. The brave of heart, or those with stories they’re aching to tell, prepare personal, true tales. When the doors open, storyteller hopefuls put their names in The Moth Hat. A half hour later, names are picked, and one by one, storytellers take the stage. Each person has just five minutes! The ten featured stories are scored by teams of judges selected from the audience. Each StorySLAM generates a StorySLAM winner. After ten SLAMs, the winners face off in our GrandSLAM Championships. AS OF FEBRUARY 2024, tickets for Denver StorySLAMs go on sale 3 weeks prior to the show date at 1 PM MT/ 3 PM ET.

Seating is not guaranteed and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before the show. Admission is not guaranteed for late arrivals. All sales final.

Swallow Hill Music cannot guarantee access nor tickets to The Moth StorySLAM, and with its popularity, it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance. Swallow Hill does not currently facilitate a ticket waitlist or ticket resales for The Moth StorySLAM.
