Let’s get together and play some records – 90’s style!
Sips & Spins is Swallow Hill’s record club. Each edition features a member of our community sharing songs on vinyl, paired with a drink mixed especially for the event from our Cafe staff.
At this edition, our very own Marketing Director and self-described “child of the 90’s,” Heather Howerton, will play some of her favorite tunes from the CD age… on vinyl!
Heather Howerton’s first concert was Phish*, and says the song she could listen to all day is 1990’s “Can I Kick It” from A Tribe Called Quest. She’s also known to quiz her colleagues with NSYNC or other 90’s music trivia before getting meetings started. Join us as she leads us through a tour of her favorite musical decade. A decade where genres were born, reborn, and golden.
And due to popular demand, we want to hear your tunes. At least some of them!
Got a 90s tune you want to spin? Fill out the form below for a chance to do just that!
Space is limited so we will draw names at the event to have some of you share your song and briefly share why you chose your song to share. Register in advance and we’ll enter you in a drawing to win a free drink from our Cafe. Winner will be announced at the start of the program.
(*Do Phoenix Phish Phans call Phoenix Foenix? No – They will use any excuse to use the P and H for anything 🙂)
