Continuing a decades-long tradition, the Summer Concert Series Presented by UMB Bank features a wide variety of musicians performing in the spectacular setting of the Gardens’ York Street location. Concertgoers can wander through gardens in full bloom before the show or between acts for a summer concert evening like no other. Produced in partnership with Swallow Hill Music.
About the Artists
Las Cafeteras sing in English, Spanish, and Spanglish and add a remix of sounds, from rock to hip-hop to rancheras. Las Cafeteras use music as a vehicle to build bridges among different cultures and communities, and create ‘a world where many worlds fit.’
The Latin Grammy Award–winning, all-female Flor De Toloache mixes tradition and innovation, breaking boundaries with its edgy, versatile, and fresh take on traditional Latin American music. Like the legendary love potion that the Toloache flower is used for in Mexico, the talented New York ensemble casts a spell over its audiences with soaring vocals and physical elegance.
