About Dan Rodriguez

Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a soulful Americana/Singer-Songwriter based out of Minnesota. I built my career living in Minneapolis, but now I live on a homestead in a small town with my wife and our three homeschooled little boys, doing our best to live off the land.

When I’m not on tour or producing artists/bands in my studio, you can probably find me in my wife’s garden asking her what plants are what, playing with my boys in our woods, or practicing any one of my various hobbies (photography, bow hunting, fly fishing, woodworking, making maple syrup, working on my vintage motorcycles, bee-keeping, homesteading), all of which I am a novice.

Over the years I’ve released several albums and EPs, and had the honor of sharing the stage with some really cool artists & bands, including The Civil Wars, Andy Grammer, Eric Hutchinson, Matt Nathanson, NeedtoBreathe, Augustana, Tyrone Wells, Haley Reinhart, Jon McLaughlin, Will Hoge, Drew Holcomb, Sister Hazel, and more.

My songs have lived in a variety of spaces including many television shows, commercials, and movies. Most notably was when Budweiser used my song “I’ll Be Waiting” in a Super Bowl ad.

My latest album, Wander, is my favorite piece of work I’ve ever compiled, and I’m so very excited for you to hear it.

Hope to see you at a show soon.

About Lauren Frihauf

Meet Lauren, a rising star in the music industry whose talent was featured in NPR Music’s 2022 Tiny Desk ‘Top Shelf’ and showcased her vocal prowess on Season 19 of NBC’s “The Voice,” where she impressed on Teams Gwen and Legend, making it to the Knockout Rounds.

In 2021, when her promising neo-soul duo project came to a halt before its album, “The Latona EP”, was released, Frihauf found her calendar cleared at a time when most musicians were getting back to touring. Previously putting words to melodies created with collaborators, she was alone, lost, and experiencing the emotional turmoil of entering adulthood after the covid pandemic.
From the beginning, her vocal style has been influenced by Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote, whose records she knows, “inside and out”.  As she began her quest to identify who she was as a solo artist, Frihauf shifted her focus from keys to guitar, which she found to be liberating. Learning to play, “Cactus Tree”, by Joni Mitchell, proved pivotal: she became obsessed with open D tuning.

Frihauf now refers to herself as a “Neo-Folker”.  Her music carries an indie singer-songwriter essence, infused with folk and neo-soul elements, creating a captivating and unique sonic landscape. Her songwriting delves into authentic themes that resonate deeply with listeners. Surprisingly, Lauren’s urban vibe stands in stark contrast to the rural farm where she was born and raised, adding an intriguing dimension to her artistry.

With her magnetic talent, authentic artistry, and promising future, Lauren is undoubtedly an artist to watch as she continues to make waves in the music industry.
