Swallow Hill Music is excited to name David Dugan as Concert Director, bringing over 15 years of experience in the professional music and entertainment industries as a musician, concert producer, and events manager. Dugan will begin at Swallow Hill on Monday, November 13.
Dugan started his career producing festivals and events for the Bohemian Foundation in Fort Collins prior to serving as General Manager of Denver’s Lost Lake Lounge, where he led a team that produced more than 300 concerts a year. Other career highlights include work with Red Rocks Amphitheater, Altitude Sports and Entertainment, and the University of Denver.
“Swallow Hill’s deep musical legacy is known worldwide and I can’t wait to help bring exceptional musical experiences to our local community, while expanding our audience reach and growing our musical boundaries,” Dugan said.
As a SCFD Tier II organization and the second-largest school, outreach/therapy, and concert institution of its kind in North America, Swallow Hill produced more than 70 concerts at its Broadway and Yale location in 2023 with plans to increase that number in 2024. The music nonprofit also produces offsite concerts at Denver Botanic Gardens, Clyfford Still Museum, Four Mile Historic Park, and Butterfly Pavilion.
Swallow Hill CEO, Aengus Finnan, who oversaw the nationwide search and hiring process, said “We are excited to have David join the team as we continue to hold space for culturally significant artists, whether they are emerging or legacy acts. His network and experience managing all aspects of the booking and presenting cycle is exactly what we were looking for.”
