Long a tradition at Swallow Hill Music, Christy Wessler’s 17th Annual Holiday Sing-Along Concert is back on stage this year in Swallow Hill’s Daniels Hall. Wessler and friends ring in the Holiday Season with a rousing concert and sing-along of Christmas favorites and Christy’s original songs.

As both emcee and soloist for the high-energy family Christmas show, Wessler leads the audience in a spirited sing-along of traditional carols. StrumTherapy and Zelda Blue, trios in which Wessler performs, join the festivities along with guest artists Pamela Weng on the piano. A chorus of Wessler’s students, The Christymas Carolers, add their harmonies to the merriment.

Wessler wears many musical hats: Singer, songwriter, director, guitarist, recording artist and popular instructor at Swallow Hill. She has been a featured performer at Colorado Rockies games and for various corporate, civic and entertainment venues in Colorado.

In the mid-80’s, Wessler studied classical voice at the University of Denver, before returning to her favorite genres folk and country music. Her Christmas composition, One Star, received the Directors’ Award in 2010 at the Nashville International Song and Lyrics Writing Competition sponsored by the Paramount Group. The title track of her most recent CD, Angels Without Wings, is about the specialness of children with disabilities based on her experiences parenting a child with special needs.

Wessler has been associated with Swallow Hill for 19 years, teaching voice and performance classes. She served on the Swallow Hill Board of Directors for 9 years.
