Play in a band this summer!
Open to all teens that have some experience playing guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, horns, singing, or any other instrument.
House of Rock participant Emma Henry on lead vocals; Henry went on to make it to Hollywood on TV’s “American Idol.”
Learn how to play together as a band and perform live at Moe’s BBQ (part of the Gothic Theatre). In each session, you’ll learn how to use your gear, play through a sound system, how to find and create your part in a band, song write, play with your peers, and put it together in a band. You’ll also get individual instruction on your instrument in sectionals everyday. Students also can take private lessons from one of our instructors on any instrument anytime after camp up until 9 p.m.
Songwriting/Recording students will get to use Swallow Hill Music’s recording studio and will produce professional quality recordings of their own songs. Studio time with our sound-engineer is included in the price.
This is the fourth year of the House of Rock program headed up by Chad Johnson (Chadzilla).
Tuition for all House of Rock camps is $360/ week.
Camp runs Monday-Friday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Performance is Saturday at 1:00 pm.
Beginner weeks are for teens that can play but have never been in a band setting.
Intermediate is for those who have taken beginner or have played in a band before.
Songwriting/Recording week is open to intermediate/advanced musicians.
