Director: Barry Brown
GLEEK WEEK will be directed by all-star Barry Brown. Barry began performing in elementary school, and hasn’t stopped since. He has played piano and sung all across the United States, into Canada, Scandinavia, Germany, East Berlin in East Germany, and Leningrad in Russia. He and his groups have also performed on local and national television, and have been featured in commercials and jingles.
Recently, he wrote and produced the show “Broadway’s Orphans” with 40 singing/dancing/acting tweens and teens to standing-only crowds at the Broomfield Auditorium.
“I enjoy creating fun, personal experiences with adults and children. It’s great to watch confidence and enjoyment grow in a singer or piano player after just a few minutes together. They can hear and feel the music coming out of them like never before, and they keep coming back for more, I love it!”
Currently Barry has performed the National Anthem at Denver Broncos football games more than any other singer. He has performed with (and musically directed) Colorado’s Premiere Vocal Group – “The 17th Avenue All-Stars” (winners of the national a cappella competition on which the TV show “The Sing Off” is based).
