Classical Pops String Ensemble

NThe Classical Pops String Ensemble is a group of classically trained professional string players with a repertoire that encompasses classical standards as well as pop favorites.

Instrumentation: Violin, Viola, Cello

Cloud 9 Strings

Cloud 9 dream300Cloud 9 was formed back in 2010 as a result of the groups desire to perform the music they love. Cloud 9 discovered that audiences at classical gigs responded when the ensemble added classic rock standards to their repertoire.

After playing several events using traditional quartet instrumentation, the group had idea of adding a drummer and using electric string instruments, which were then plugged into distortion pedals. The results were amazing.

Crescent Brothers Blues Band

Casey300The Crescent Brothers Blues Band is a duo guaranteed to get your feet stomping and hands clapping. With a diverse repertoire of all original material, this eclectic duo has something for everyone. Singer/songwriter- Stan Graham provides insightful, and wise lyrics as lead guitarist and Casey Hrdlicka’s accompaniment spans over a diverse range of musical styles.

The instrumentation is two guitars and two vocals.

Deborah Solo

DeborahSolo300Deborah Solo is singer/songwriter with years of experience in performance. Deborah’s set includes originals and recognizable acoustic covers that highlight her delicate guitar playing and warm, expressive voice.

Jeff Scroggins & Colorado

jeffco_close_up300Jeff Scroggins and Colorado is a high energy, high mountain “bluegrass explosion,” that features the amazing banjo playing of Jeff Scroggins. Jeff’s ery style and lightning fast licks have earned him many fans worldwide, and have left many a first time listener in stunned disbelief! It also features the award winning mandolin playing of Jeff’s son Tristan Scroggins. Tristan is also an accomplished songwriter, and his and Jeff’s original instrumentals play a large role in the band’s unique and energetic sound. The band also features incredible bluegrass vocals, led by the powerful voice of front man Greg Blake.  Annie Savage brings to the group strong vocals and an aggressive fiddle style that is well suited to the band’s high energy approach.  KC Groves founded the all girl band Uncle Earl and is truly a force to be reckoned with!

Josie Quick

Josie300x200Josie holds a Bachelor’s of Music from the prestigious Denver University’s Lamont School of Music where she studied violin performance. After college she continued studying with world renowned violinists, honing her craft. She is known for her beautiful tone and joy of playing which bring smiles to all who hear her repertoire of classical favorites, vintage jazz, gypsy and fiddle music. She is a well known studio musician, appearing on many recording projects of numerous Colorado artists. Josie has been playing professionally since 1984.

Solo – Josie is up for anything! She’s willing to put together a program of gypsy, irish, love songs, whatever you have in mind! A typical evening of music can include a mix of classical and jazz standards. All of Me, Lady Be Good, Handel Bouree, Boccherini Minuet, and music from Phantom of the Opera are favorites.

Frontera String Quartet — Standard classical string quartet consisting of two violins, viola, and cello. Also available as a string trio and duo. We play baroque and classical music, a typical event would have us playing Mozart string quartets and short baroque pieces by Handel, Corelli, and Vivaldi.

Perpetual Motion – Violin and guitar duo, can add bass for a trio or bass and drums for bigger quartet sound.

Violinist Josie Quick and award winning guitarist/composer Tom Carleno have been performing throughout Colorado since 1990. Their music is an exciting blend of gypsy, jazz, blues and world music. Teir take on jazz standards is full of creative energy.

Jazz set list includes songs by Miles Davis, Django Reinhardt, and Jobim. Wedding music includes Pachelbel Canon, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, Handel Water Music, Claire de Lune.

Kindred Spirits

KindredSprits300A multi-instrumental Renaissance/Celtic Quartet consisting of the following instruments: harp, viola, cello, guitar, accordion, bouzouki, fiddle, flute, piccolo, and bodhran. We are available for weddings, receptions, corporate events, garden parties, or holiday gatherings.Our repertoire includes a wide variety of seasonal music from the Renaissance as well as a Celtic set, a romantic set, a Winter/December holiday set and much more.

Martin Gilmore

Martin300Martin Gilmore is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has toured nationally and internationally both solo and with his many ensembles. His bands offer a wide variety of american folk music, bluegrass, country, swing, blues and much more. He has produced and performed on many records and recordings with regional and national acts and has played many of the Rocky Mountain Region’s largest music festivals. He has shared the stage with members of Hot Rize, The Nashville Bluegrass Band, The Infamous Stringdusters as well as Tim O’brien, Mollie O’brien, Rich Moore and many others. His acclaimed bluegrass band, Long Road Home, won the 2006 Rockygrass band competition.

Paul Trunko

SONY DSCPaul has been performing solo and with groups in the Front Range area for 25 years. Area music projects include 6 years with acoustic, bluegrass band Quickdraw, 8 years as bandleader with blues/rock band The Keepers and many years with Colorado Grateful Dead oriented band Shakedown Street. Paul also has recorded and released two acoustic kid/family albums in the Jammy Man series. The Jammy Man Band, has performed children’s concerts at libraries, schools and festivals throughout Colorado.

Using their wide array of world music influences, they create a unique dance sound that delivers energy and enthusiasm, combining a clear, soulful musicianship that is bursting with power. Their explorations of celtic, folk, rock, pop and calypso traditions make them a favorite amongst all audiences.

Star Edwards solo harp performances include finely crafted original songs along with selections steeped in the mythology and traditions of the instrument. Drawing from celtic, renaissance and classical music traditions, Star’s music can add a wonderful and soothing ambiance to any event.
